DECEMBER 2017 - IHEART RADIO, 107.5 WGCI & FORD MOTOR COMPANY HONOR SANDYREDD AS A LEADING LADY OF SUCCESS IN CHICAGO
SandyRedd was selected as an honoree in the 2017 "Born to Roll" brunch powered by Ford Motor Company, IHeart Radio & 107.5 WGCI where she received an award for representing her city as the Leading Lady of Success in the field of music. All of the awards were presented by radio personality Kendra G of WGCI and other honoree's included TaRhonda Jones of the hit show "Empire" on Fox and Dawn Hasbrouck, news anchor for Fox 32 News.
SandyRedd also wowed the crowd with an electrifying performance and ended
the night with a surprise birthday song for Dawn. Congratulations to all of
the honorees!

Sandy Redd has been a background singer for Mya, Syleena Johnson, and the list goes on. Recently, she won WGCI radio station in Chicago’s Kickstart Your Dreams contest by Mountain Dew and Twista. She released her debut EP, Redd Fever. Artists such as Public Announcement and actors such as LaRoyce Hawkins (Chicago PD), Eric Hubbard (Akeelah and the Bee), and radio and TV personalities Leon Rogers (107.5 WGCI) and Simeon Henderson (WCIU) were in attendance at her launch party.

APRIL 2017 - CONGRATS TO SANDYREDD...WINNER OF THE WGCI "KICK START YOUR DREAMS" CONTEST BY MOUNTAIN DEW & TWISTA
SandyRedd wowed a panel of judges as she performed an original heartfelt piece about the youth of her city, highlighting her "I Matter...You Matter...We Matter" movement. The judges included record label executives from Atlantic, Epic, and Empire records as well as Rapping Legend "Twista". In the end, SandyRedd was dubbed winner and received studio time and a song produced with Twista, a photo shoot, $1000 cash and her single played on WGCI.

The Atlanta screening of Lee Daniels' "STAR" red carpet was star studded. FOX previewed the new series “STAR” for an exclusive group of Atlanta influencers during the popular ATL Live on the Park showcase from industry vets Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols. Over 300 VIPs gathered at Park Tavern for a sneak peek of the show co-created by Lee Daniels and then enjoyed live performances by SandyRedd, Julie Dexter, Dondria, and Rayven Justice with host Ed Lover.
SUMMER 2018 - SANDYREDD'S NON-FOR-PROFIT PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAM IS BACK FOR IT'S 8TH YEAR THIS SUMMER
The Mama’s Birds Performing Arts Youth Organization was founded by SandyRedd in April 2011 in honor of her late mother, Evangelist Margaret Owens – Bussie. Every summer, over 100 kids are provided a genuine artist experience through singing, dancing, acting and songwriting lessons, photo shoots, studio sessions, bio development and press kits, celebrity guest speakers, finale showcases and more. The next open enrollment is in May 2018 with classes set to begin in June.
